My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Kelvin: charming, dignified, and delightfully opinionated. This FIV+ gentleman is a true connoisseur of cozy naps and the occasional cuddles in bed with you, window sunbathing, and slow head pets - but don't even think about touching his back (he has boundaries, thank you very much). His adoption fee has been fully sponsored!

He prefers a drama-free lifestyle, which means no other animals and no young kids - just you, a comfy couch, and his favorite toys. Kelvin may have a few quirks, but he makes up for it with loyal companionship, soulful stares, and just the right amount of sass.

Looking for a low-maintenance best friend who knows what he wants? He's already picked you!

What is FIV?
Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) is a retrovirus belonging to the lentivirus subfamily. It infects the cells of a cat’s immune system and can kill, damage, or affect the cells’ normal functions. In short: It can compromise the immune system. FIV only affects cats and cannot be spread to humans or other animals. Though there is no cure for FIV, recent studies suggest that cats with FIV commonly live average life spans.

Additional adoption info

Firstly, an approved adoption application must be submitted at https://kittyco.org/adopt to adopt one of our kitties. If approved, we will reach out to schedule a meet and greet with you. If kitty and potential adopter are compatible, we will then send you an adoption checklist, so you can easily prepare to bring them home. Lastly, you sign an adoption contract and pickup your new fur baby!

More about this rescue

Kitty Co. Cat Rescue is a no-kill, foster-based, 501(c)(3) nonprofit cat rescue that began saving lives in 2020. Our rescue is driven by its goals - to speak for the voiceless, educate the public on the importance of spay and neuter, and to give cats the home, care, and love they deserve. KCCR specializes in, but is not limited to, the care of kittens 4+ weeks old and adult cats. Our services are provided to Collier Township, PA and surrounding areas.
