My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Harlow is a sweet little girl! She is a fun kitten, loves to chase around with the other foster kittens in the house. She is timid, and will be adopted with her BFF Bernadette. Bernadette helps bring out Harlow's confidence. Their adopter will need to be patient while the girls adjust to their new home.

More about this rescue

H.A.L.O. is the East Contra Costa County Homeless Animals' Lifeline Organization, better known as H.A.L.O. We are a nonprofit, all volunteer, 501c(3) charitable organization who assists dogs, cats and their owners in Eastern Contra Costa County.
We rescue approximatly 500 animals a year, all by volunteers, all in our homes and in our hearts.
We are not a shelter,
We have grant funds for the spaying and neutering of East County ferals and food for them if needed.
We have a program called "Angel Ears" where certified dogs and their trainers go to the local libraries and the children read to the dogs. This has proven a very effective way to increase reading skills rapidly. We also take the dogs to senior facilities.
We are in need of volunteer in many capacities.
