My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Ketrina!
Ketrina is a 1.5-year-old tan and white Chihuahua/Jack Russell mix weighing about 18 lbs. She came from the same severe hoarding situation as Friday, and while she shares many of the same sweet qualities, she is the shyer of the two. With each passing day, though, she’s becoming a little braver and a little more open to love.

Ketrina enjoys quiet companionship, gentle scratches, and observing the world from a cozy, safe spot. She’s still learning what it means to be part of a caring family, so she’ll need someone patient, understanding, and willing to move at her pace.

She is not fully housebroken yet, but progress is being made. Like many small dogs, she can be a bit stubborn, so consistency and positive reinforcement will be important.

Ketrina does wonderfully with other dogs and cats, and she often feels more comfortable with furry friends around. She will approach people when she’s ready and has started showing touches of her tender, affectionate personality.

Ketrina is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and up to date on preventative care.

If your heart has a soft spot for a shy, gentle soul who just needs time to blossom, Ketrina might be the perfect match.

We do this to save the numerous animals put to sleep each year because of over crowed shelters.
