My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bellamy is a delightful 3-year-old mix of Beagle and Jack Russell Terrier, weighing in at a charming 16 pounds. His jolly disposition and affectionate nature make him a wonderful addition to any family.
Personality and Temperament
Bellamy is the epitome of joy and energy. Whether it's playing in the backyard or exploring the great outdoors on a hike, he is always up for an adventure. Despite his playful nature, Bellamy equally cherishes the quiet moments, often seeking cuddles from his favorite humans. His affectionate demeanor ensures that he bonds quickly and deeply.
Compatibility with Others
Bellamy's friendly nature extends beyond people; he gets along well with kids, cats, and other dogs, making him a versatile companion for households with multiple pets. His interactions are generally positive and harmonious, providing a peaceful environment for everyone.
However, there is one exception to Bellamy's amiable personality—chickens. He does not get along with them, so a chicken-free home is ideal for him.
Training and Behavior
House trained and decent on a leash, Bellamy has already mastered some essential skills. He enjoys car rides, making him a great travel buddy for family trips or adventures.
Health and Wellness
Bellamy is in great health, with no known allergies. He is up to date on all vaccinations, neutered, microchipped, and heartworm negative, ensuring that he is ready to join his new family with minimal fuss.
Conclusion
In summary, Bellamy is a loving, energetic, and well-behaved dog who is ready to bring joy and companionship to a lucky family. With his friendly nature and easy-going attitude, he is sure to become a beloved member of any household. If you're looking for a furry friend who loves cuddles and adventures, Bellamy might just be the perfect match for you!

More about this rescue

BMAR is a No-Kill facility: a place of safety for healthy adoptable animals, a home for the homeless, a haven for the mistreated, neglected, or abused animals of Sabine & surrounding counties. BMAR also runs a sanctuary for those deemed unadoptible due to medical and behavior issues.

100% Volunteer Rescue. We have no animal control, Humane Society, or SPCA operating in our area leaving animals in dire straights.

BMAR is dedicated to the prevention of cruelty & abuse to all animals & livestock.

We currently only adopt to states and Canada where we have a network in place to monitor animals and help with problems.

BMAR backs it's dogs for life and will take back no matter how long and at any time if circumstance arise and you cannot keep your pet.
