This helps Brooklyn Animal Action with pet care costs.
Meet Badger, a sweet and gentle soul. Badger may be shy at first and take his time getting comfortable—about 2–3 weeks of quiet patience won him over in his foster home. But once he decides you’re safe? He becomes wonderfully affectionate and will seek you out for exactly the kind of pets he wants. He likes them all, especially when a good, enthusiastic bum rub.
One of Badger’s most endearing habits is how he greets you. He’ll welcome you at the door when you come home and offer a sweet morning hello when you wake up. He keeps a polite distance until you’re out of bed, then trots over for a soft, good-morning rub.
Badger is an excellent eater who takes his meals seriously. If he’s hoping for seconds, he’ll sit politely beside his dish and make sure every last molecule of food has been licked away. During the day he likes to tuck himself into a calm spot where he can still keep an eye on what’s going on, venturing out for pets, play, and companionship. By afternoon, he loves a cozy nap near you and will give a gentle little nose-nudge when he’d like more affection.
He gets along well with other cats, though he’d do best with a calm, gentle companion. He wants to play, but big bursts of energy can spook him—soft, friendly feline energy is his ideal match.
Badger may start timid, but for the person who gives him a little time, he becomes an incredibly tender, loyal companion—quietly devoted and full of gentle charm.
A colony feeder found Badger over the summer, looking skinny and neglected. We jumped into action to get him off the streets, and he got lots of TLC.
Badger is 4 years old, neutered, up to date on vaccines, free of fleas and parasites, and negative for FIV and FeLV.
