Patches is a 10-year-old male Border Collie, weighing about 30 lbs, searching for a loving, safe place to spend his golden years through PAWS Rescue Inc.
This handsome gentleman is as smart as they come and a true delight to foster. Patches has a calm, quiet demeanor—but every now and then, he’ll let out an adorable little howl just to remind you he’s nearby.
Patches has had a tough past and came to us as an owner surrender, so it’s hard to know what he’s been through. He can be shy and slow to warm up, but once you earn his trust, he becomes your loyal shadow.
What Patches Needs:
✨ A patient adopter willing to give him space while he settles in
✨ A secure, fenced yard—he can be an escape artist
✨ Daily exercise and mental stimulation, just like any Border Collie

Since our formation in early 2013, we have helped save thousands of cats and dogs throughout Idaho from neglect, abuse, and death. Many of our rescues come from the Burley Idaho Animal Shelter where PAWS has transformed what was once a high kill facility to a shelter where every adoptable animal gets a second chance! PAWS also takes in stray pets from all over Idaho including Twin Falls, Boise, Nampa, and Caldwell. We work our very hardest to respond to every call for help!
PAWS Rescue, Inc. saves all breeds of cats and dogs of all ages as well as animals who have been hit by cars, shot, abandoned, abused, and neglected.
Rescued animals are placed in loving foster homes or transferred to other no kill partner facilities giving them a chance to find the perfect forever home. Our efforts give these deserving animals a second chance at a happy life.
Every animal receives veterinary evaluation and care, including spay/neuter and vaccines, as well as treatment for any other medical issue they may have. No animal is ever euthanized due to expense.
