Meet Penny — a sweet, 6-year-old brown and tan Chihuahua with a huge heart and three adorable legs. This brave little tripod doesn’t let her missing limb slow her down one bit. She’s full of love, spirit, and a whole lot of charm.

Penny is current on DHPP, Rabies, microchip, and deworming, and she’s all ready to find her forever person. Adoption fee: $200.

She’s the perfect lap dog for a senior or anyone wanting a calm, affectionate companion. Penny adores attention, loves to snuggle, and enjoys her daily walks. Whether she’s curled up next to you or trotting happily alongside you, she’s simply happiest being with her person. While sweet on her people, Penny is not a good match for a home with cats.

The Furry Farm Rescue Adoption process:

For Dogs:
When you find an animal you would like to find out more about and meet, please go fill out our adoption application. With review of your application we check references and speak to your veterinarian. During that process we will also schedule a time for you to come meet and get to know your new furry friend. If you have other animals, we will want to do some intros at that time. We then ask you take a few days to think about it and let us know. We will then come to your house and do a final meet and greet before finalizing the adoption. All adopters sign a contract with the Furry Farm Rescue. All of our adoptions come with a 2 week trial period. This allows you to and your new furry friend some time to bond and know if this is a forever family.

Our Adoption fees vary between $100-350 for dogs. Each dogs fee will be listed in their biography.

We are a small rescue established in 2017 to serve North Idaho and surrounding vicinity. The farm hands bring rescue and animal welfare together with a focus on our local community needs. Furry Farm concentrates on those most at risk, be it their medical needs, background, or baggage. We are not a high volume rescue, instead specializing in doing acute care, long term recovery and rehabilitation. We operate as volunteer only, with all of our animals in the care of foster volunteers at their residence. There is no "farm" or building to come visit animals at this time and all of our services start with the application process found on this website.

The Furry Farm Rescue's Mission is to save dogs most at risk in our local shelter systems: be it medical, seniors or puppies and provide them with a safe environment to thrive again.
