My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

These three sweethearts—Ramshackle, Shabby, and Forsaken—have endured a rough start, having been found alone and abandoned in a home for an unknown period.

Now, these resilient Chihuahua mix ladies are ready to put their past behind them and embrace a life of comfort and pampering! They are all caught up on vaccines, microchipped, and spayed, meaning they are all set for their new beginnings. They get along with all sized dogs and humans. We are unsure of cats. Forsaken is a little over a year while Shabby and Ramshackle are around 10 months.

These loving ladies are seeking compassionate families who are ready to shower them with endless affection and guide them as they learn what it means to be a cherished pet. They will need dedicated families to establish consistent routines to help them master potty training and begin their leash manners. Due to their resourcefulness and impressive climbing skills, a secured backyard is a must to keep these adventurous girls safe!

Additional adoption info

In some circumstances, meeting the dog and a home check are done at the same time if the dog is ready to be adopted. We do have conversation with potential adopters prior to them meeting the dog. If they are interested in adopting a puppy who is not ready for adoption (not altered, not UTD, etc) they are able to put a hold on the pup until ready for adoption.

More about this rescue

Pathways for Paws was founded in October 2019. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit, no-kill, animal welfare organization.

Our mission is to make spay/neuter & vaccinations affordable to those in our communities. By achieving this, we will help prevent the neglect & abuse of dogs. All dogs in our care are spay/neutered, given the age appropriate vaccinations and microchipped before going to their FURever families.

We work with rescues & fellow animal advocates to continue growing a network of volunteers and supporters.
