Adorable Stamey entered the Humane Society of Imperial County as a stray, and sadly, no one came to claim him. We welcomed Stamey as a Frosted Face on November 14th. He is estimated to be 10 years old, weighs 20 lbs., and is SO sweet.
Stamey went on a two-week Frosted Fling, so we could learn more about him in a home setting. He earned a glowing review from his fling family for being an all-around good boy!
Here's what we learned:
* Stamey is a lovebug! He soaks up petting and gives the sweetest gentle kisses. He visited the residents at the Chula Vista Veterans Home and was gentle, calm, and affectionate towards everyone he met!
* He is a great walker with a happy bounce in his step and plenty of pep, too! He’s friendly with both dogs and people he meets. City noises and crowds don’t bother him at all.
* Stamey sits politely for treats, comes when called, and isn’t a barker, even when other dogs bark at him!
* He bonds quickly but shows no signs of separation anxiety. When his people leave, Stamey waits by the door for a bit and then settles onto the couch for a snooze.
* He had no accidents. At night, he held it for 9 hours and for 5 hours during the day.
His Fling Mom noted, "It’s impossible not to adore Stamey after spending time with him. He gives so much and asks for so little."
So, whether you're looking for a walking buddy, a snuggle companion, or a pup who gets along with everyone he meets - Stamey is your guy!
