My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Libby’s journey started on the streets when she was found at only about three weeks old—tiny, vulnerable, and dealing with an eye infection. The family who rescued her provided medical care, treated her eye, and had her spayed in August. Although they cared about her deeply, they soon realized Libby struggled with children and needed a different kind of home.

Since coming into rescue, Libby has shown what a truly loving and affectionate kitten she can be. She bonds strongly with adults and blossoms in a calm, quiet environment. With the people she trusts, she’s incredibly sweet—leaning in for pets, seeking affection, and showing just how grateful she is for gentle companionship.

Libby would thrive in an adult-only home or a quiet household without young kids. She enjoys peaceful routines, soft voices, and having a safe space to relax. Her early rough start hasn’t dimmed her capacity for love—she simply needs the right setting to feel secure.

If you’re looking for a devoted, affectionate companion who will reward your kindness with endless love, Libby is ready to become your treasured friend.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Our 9LCR cats are not routinely tested for FIV and FeLV for various reasons, one being to keep the costs and hence the adoption fee affordable. This decision is based on studies that have found that only about 4% of cats are actually infected. The funds for testing are better utilized for our spay and neuter efforts of owned and community cats in order to save the most cats. However, testing can be performed upon request and need to be covered by the person interested in adopting.
9 Lives Cats have been spayed or neutered and have updated vaccinations. 9 Lives is run entirely on volunteers. Please give us 2-7 days to process your application. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us! Please fill out our application form found here: t.ly/38VV
Adoption fee is $70.00.
