My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Marty Park’s story began on a chilly Oxford evening, just before a cold front brought temperatures in the 20s at night. The trap that caught him was meant for community cats as part of a TNR effort—but Marty had other plans. Hungry and hopeful, he walked right in, clearly seeking food, warmth, and kindness. No owner ever came forward, and it quickly became clear that Marty wasn’t a feral cat—he’s a sweet, affectionate young boy who loves human attention and thrives on companionship.

Still just shy of adulthood, Marty has the perfect mix of playful energy and snuggly affection. He’s the kind of cat who will greet you with soft purrs and stay close by, grateful for love and comfort. His gentle temperament and loving nature make him an ideal companion for anyone looking to add warmth to their home.

Marty Park has already shown how brave and trusting he is—now he just needs a forever family to give him the safe, cozy life he deserves. This loving boy is ready to trade the cold streets for a warm lap and a lifetime of affection.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Our 9LCR cats are not routinely tested for FIV and FeLV for various reasons, one being to keep the costs and hence the adoption fee affordable. This decision is based on studies that have found that only about 4% of cats are actually infected. The funds for testing are better utilized for our spay and neuter efforts of owned and community cats in order to save the most cats. However, testing can be performed upon request and need to be covered by the person interested in adopting.
9 Lives Cats have been spayed or neutered and have updated vaccinations. 9 Lives is run entirely on volunteers. Please give us 2-7 days to process your application. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us! Please fill out our application form found here: t.ly/38VV
Adoption fee is $70.00.
