If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
I love this dog. I have had her since 2018 and i think she is about 8 or 9 years old. She is food aggressive and needs to eat separately. She’s fine with the GSD she has lived with for years but other dogs are iffy, but manageable. The reason I’m rehoming her is because as she progresses in age the less tolerant she is of small children. She grew up with my 8 and 14 yr old and is great with them, but now I have a toddler and a baby and it’s getting harder to keep them always separate. I am doing my best to teach the toddler to stay away, but all it takes is one second I’m not watching. She has growled and given warning nips just for the toddler getting too close to her, not even touching or climbing on her. I can’t keep risking my children’s safety and it isn’t fair to keep her locked in a different room all the time. I’m hoping I can find her a loving home to live out her good girl days in a family without kids. She is so sweet and loving, just not good with small children.
