My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🐾 Meet Dane Ryan! 🖤
Dane Ryan is a 4.5-month-old mixed breed pup with a sleek black coat and a gentle soul. He’s a little shy at first, but once he warms up, you’ll see his playful and loving side shine through.

Dane has been housed in an outdoor shelter with his sisters, so he’s still mastering puppy basics and learning what it means to be part of a family. With patience, structure, and lots of love, he’ll grow into the devoted best friend you’ve been searching for.

Sweet, smart, and full of potential — Dane Ryan can’t wait to find his forever home! 🐶

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

We require that every adopter fill out an application and go through our screening process. We may contact your references, your vet and/or do a home visit. Our standard adoption fee is $200 for adults and puppies. This is to offset any costs that we may have incurred in medical and other expenses for each animal. We require that all animals being adopted out be up to date on shots and be spayed or neutered.

More about this rescue

The Redfield Friends of the Animals Rescue Group is a small group of volunteers who realized the need of the city's impound and stray/loose dog population. We are a 501(c)(3) organization. Our main focus is assisting the City of Redfield's Animal control department in the adoption process of the dogs currently in the city impound. We are given the opportunity to advocate and place an animal in a foster home or adoptive home. Along with this, we also provide much of the medical care of the animals within the impound and help with any repairs needed to the facility. We are also working with the animal control department, the chief of police and the city government to improve the current impound kennels. When an animal is picked up by animal control, they are held for 10 business days. If they are not claimed, they will then become the property of the city of Redfield. Once they are the property of the city, the Redfield Friends of the Animals will then determine if we will be able to place the dog in a foster home and/or work towards getting that animal adopted within a given time frame in an effort to prevent the pet from being euthanized. We are also currently working to connect with various rescue agencies to help aid us in this process.
