My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Silly, Careful, Gentle & Chill!

Prepare to be charmed by the beautifully enigmatic Mustang Sally! This gorgeous dark brown/black and orange tortie has distinctive light buff eyebrows and stunning pale green eyes that give her a hilariously guilty look, like you just caught her in the middle of some secret kitten business.

Mustang Sally is a silly, chill, and very gentle girl who just needs a moment to find her feet. She is quite shy at first and will hide as she settles in, but give her time and space! Her curiosity always wins out and she loves to follow her people from room to room once she feels at ease. She is a very easy cat, most active in the morning and early evening—perfect for someone who works during the day. Her favorite pastimes include rolling around like a goof, chasing string toys, and gazing out the window or at light reflections.

She may not be a lap cat and doesn't like being picked up (so far), but she absolutely adores pets! She will sweetly raise her bottom to get closer to your hand, give you cute head nuzzles, squirm around happily, and eventually let out a satisfying purr. If she's done with pets, her boundaries are very gentle—just a soft bat or a little love nibble. Mustang Sally is a quiet companion as she gets used to her space, but when she gets more comfortable, she loves to chirp and makes the cutest sound—a unique, charming squawk!

We haven’t seen her around children, but we think she could be good with a respectful kid! At the shelter she seemed fine with her feline roommates, so she could likely live peacefully with another laid-back cat in her new home.

This calm traveler is ready for a new journey - contact us today to meet your co-pilot in all things cute!

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
