My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Say hello to Duke, the three-year-old Shih Tzu who carries himself like a tiny king but loves his people with big, earnest sweetness. Coming to us as a transfer from Chicago Animal Care & Control, Duke arrived ready to charm, and he’s been doing exactly that ever since.

Duke is soft, affectionate, and wonderfully steady. He’s the type who pads over with a calm tail wag, settles beside you with a contented sigh, and makes the whole day feel a little easier. He enjoys gentle strolls, cozy naps, and any moment that involves being close to his favorite humans. His expressive eyes and calm, friendly demeanor make him instantly lovable.

If you’re hoping for a loyal, mellow companion with a tender heart and a whole lot of adorable Shih Tzu charisma, Duke is ready to take his place by your side.
