POLICY/AGREEMENT❗️❗️

Thank you for considering to adopt or for adopting from The Bunny Hutch

BY PURCHASING A BUNNY FROM THE BUNNY HUTCH YOU ARE AGREEING TO THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS BELOW:

You will receive a paper copy at time of pick up as well with the bunnies information on it for your records.

I genuinely care about the animals that I take in. This adoption agreement helps to assure the new owners agree on the care of their new adopted animal and abide by certain guidelines to keep them happy, safe, and healthy. PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT A BUNNY IS AN 8-12 YEAR COMMITMENT AND ADOPTING A BUNNY OR ANY ANIMAL SHOULD BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY 🐰❤️

Guarantees:
*I can not guarantee health, weight, or temperament of any animal adopted.
*All sales are final! I do not give refunds, replacements, or exchanges.
* Rabbits or any animal will not leave my home without being paid in full.
* NO HOLDS unless you pay a deposit to hold. Deposits are non refundable! (This is for babies not ready to go yet)
Babies will be held only with deposit till they are ready to go. If not picked up on the agreed scheduled date (ready to go date), the bunny will be placed back up for adoption and a refund will NOT be given. If I agree to hold past the pick up date there will be a $5 per day charge for boarding/feed cost.
If the rabbit/animal is an adult and you pay a deposit to hold or pay in full..I will only hold 24 hours (unless otherwise discussed and agreed upon) If the bunny/animal is not picked up within those 24 hours. They will be placed up for adoption again and you will forfeit the deposit/payment.
If you place a deposit on a bunny/animal or pay in full, then change your mind, you will forfeit the payment as well. Payments and Deposits are non refundable once placed.

*I reserve the right to cancel a sale without any explanation at any time.

* I am not open to the public. All pick ups are in a public place. All surrenders are done in a public place as well.

*Baby rabbits under a certain age are very hard to sex but I do my very best to sex them correctly. Mistakes can be made when they are young so I make no guarantee on the sexes of the baby bunnies.

*All animals are adopted out as healthy to the best of my knowledge. I do not knowingly adopt out any sick animals. Once an animal leaves my care I unfortunately can not give any health guarantee. This is because rabbits and other animals are unpredictable animals by nature. I am not responsible for how the new owner chooses to care for the animal or any mistakes the buyer makes in the care, handling, and health of the animal. I do however advise the owner to contact me immediately so we can discuss any issues at hand if one should arise.

*I am not responsible for any vet fees incurred at any point during the life of the animal.

*The rabbit is being adopted as a PET ONLY bunny. Most of the adult buns we adopt out were retired from a breeder to find them PET homes. If a rabbit that we took in as a rescue is accidentally adopted out pregnant, the babies fall under same contract/agreement and must be returned to The Bunny Hutch when old enough to be weaned and leave their mom. We try for this to not happen and hold them if we suspect pregnancy but things happen sometimes. This means you can not sell the babies, give them away, give them to friends/family, etc. If they are interested in adopting one they can officially adopt them through The Bunny Hutch.

* We do have already fixed rabbits from time to time that come in. We do not provide these services due to cost. We get no donations to incur the cost of spay/neuters. If you would like to have your bunny fixed it will be up to you as the adopter. We do not include this in our adoption fee or give out certificates to cover those cost. This will be per adopter.

Care:

*The bunny/animal must be given the appropriate housing, nutrition, and humane handling for their entire duration of their life. We are adopting out the bunny/animal to INSIDE PET HOMES. Outside they can be prey to dogs, wild animals etc. They also risk picking up parasites. Some breeds can’t withstand extreme heat or cold temperatures. We prefer ceramic water bowls over water bottles. They also need the proper enclosure. Not a tiny cage. Xpens are what I recommend over small wire cages.

*They need the proper diet, which consist of Timothy hay, rabbit pellets, fresh veggies, fruit, etc. For Bunnies under 6 months of age, It is not recommended to give them any fruit/ veggies as their digestive system is still developing and is sensitive. If you do give them fruit/veggies, too much can cause upset tummies and cause bloat or GI stasis.. this goes for adults too so pls be careful on the amount of veggies your bun is getting.

* No baths! Bunnies are self cleaning animals.. they lick themselves clean like a cat. Baths are also very stressful to bunnies and they are already sensitive animals.

*ANY BUNNY OR SMALL ANIMAL ADOPTED OR PURCHASED FROM THE BUNNY HUTCH MUST BE RETURNED TO US IF YOU CAN NO LONGER CARE FOR THEM IN ANY WAY.
They are not to be turned loose, dumped, given away, sold, turned over to a rescue or shelter etc. We will always take them back. Please understand it is your responsibility to return the animal back to us. There will be no refund given at the time of return as it is considered a re-surrender.

*Small children should always be watched around any bunnies. Not put on high furniture, bedding etc where they can fall off if not watched properly. Bunnies are fragile

* You must bring something to bring your bunny home safely in, I do not supply cages, carriers, or boxes.

* Please make sure if paying cash you have exact amount. We usually do not keep cash on hand therefore can not give change back.
We accept Cash, Venmo or Cashapp for adoption fees or deposits.

Cashapp- $Thebunnyhutch24

Venmo- @Thebunnyhutch24 (Carrie Nelson)

Both have the pink background with white bunny on it same as our cover photo

If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact me. I am always available to chat 🙂

Please understand this isn’t me being very strict this just helps with people backing out or getting a bunny/animal and not being ready so they are not being passed around.

This agreement is subject to change at anytime
