My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Jewel! Jewel is a silky, sleek black and white masked tuxedo with white whiskers about 1- 2 years old. She was found with her 2 kittens living outside near a very busy road before they came into our care. She was a great mom and was grateful to be inside and safe with her kittens.

Jewel is a calm and easy-going girl who loves to sit in a sunny window and watch the goings-on outdoors, particularly squirrels and birds. She takes a little while to warm up, but then loves to be pet. She would make a great companion cat.

Jewel would love a quiet, low activity home, with either no kids or kids over the age of 12 years old. Jewel is/will be: dewormed, spayed, receive an FVRCP vaccine, a rabies vaccine, be combo tested, and will be microchipped with a lifetime registration. No need to pay every year to reregister - we've done it for you. Our adoption process requires you filling out an approved adoption application, meeting your future family member, and signing a contract. More about this rescue

Our rescue is dedicated to the cats that have been forgotten - strays that are shy and frightened, abandoned cats that once had a home and are trying to come into a home for shelter, cats that need a little more TLC than most to trust again.

These cats are struggling on our streets to be noticed, struggling for survival. They need our love, our compassion, our help.

They are the forgotten cats.
The cats that most rescues "don't have time for."

ALL cats deserve love.
ALL cats deserve a good home.
ALL cats deserve to be treated with respect and given care.

Given time, love, and nurturing, these cats become wonderful, loving housecats.

Our rescue is for the forgotten cats. In my home, they are known as the Shrinking Violets, and I have fought for their right to be loved, receive care, and the respect they deserve. Please join me with your support.
