My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Artemis -- Your New Queen of Consistency — the 4½-Year-Old Ragdoll Diva!

If you're looking for a gorgeous, expressive, opinionated Ragdoll who knows exactly what she wants (and isn’t afraid to tell you), this lovely lady might just be your perfect match.

She’s a creature of routine—a cat who thrives on predictability and does best in a calm, quiet home where her schedule stays steady. Change? No, thank you. She prefers life just the way she likes it.

This girl can be high-strung at times, and she’ll absolutely let you know when she’s feeling overstimulated. If she’s irritated, she may give a little swat to set her boundaries—she’s honest like that! But when she decides it’s cuddle time, she becomes your soft, warm, affectionate companion. Her love is on her terms, and that’s what makes earning it so special.

She’s full of personality and energy:
Loves chasing the laser pointer
Bats her toys around like a tiny athlete
Gets hilarious zoomies
Becomes adorably talkative when it’s mealtime

She isn’t a fan of kids or other cats, but she does like the dog in her current home, so a respectful, calm dog companion could be a good fit.

She’s smart, opinionated, sensitive, playful, and deeply loyal once she trusts you. She’s looking for a peaceful home that understands her boundaries, honors her routine, and appreciates a cat with a big personality.

If you’re ready to welcome a beautiful Ragdoll queen who will rule your home (and your heart) with charm and sass, she’s ready to meet you!

Artemis has been spayed and is microchipped.  She has tested negative for FeLV/FIV.  She is up to date with rabies and FVRCP vaccinations.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

1. Review the description of the pet you are interested in to make sure that the information we have fits with your particular needs and desires. In most cases, the information on the website is current and gives the information that we have about the particular pet. The picture of the pet does not tell the whole story.

2. Complete the adoption application at https://pawsforlifenc.org. Please make sure that you give us as much information about yourself as you can. List all animals currently living with you including other dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, and rodents. The application needs to be complete in order to help us determine if the pet you have chosen is a good match for your home.

3. Once the application is submitted we will contact you, your references, and your vet.

4. We require a home visit prior to dog adoptions.

5. If more than one person applies, we will go with the BEST fit. If all things are equal, we go in the order the applications were received.

6. Once the home visit has been completed, you will be asked to complete an adoption agreement.

7. The adoption fee is $325 for dogs under 6 months, $300 for 6 months and older. The adoption fee is $125 for kittens under 1 year ($225 for 2 kittens), $85 for cats 1 year and older. This fee helps us to provide the necessary medical care and other needs for the pets while in foster care.

8. All Paws For Life NC pets are spayed or neutered if old enough, current on shots, micro chipped, and to our knowledge, in good health before they are adopted out. Puppies under 6 months of age will require a $100 refundable spay/neuter deposit in addition to the adoption fee and a special puppy spay/neuter agreement. Kittens under 6 months will require a $50 refundable spay/neuter deposit in addition to the adoption fee. We are all volunteers and receive no monetary compensation for our work with the pets. The adoption fee is used to help defray costs in the rescue and care of the pets.

9. Congratulations! You are on your way to having your new companion. We hope that you and your new companion share a life of love and happiness. We welcome any comments you may wish to give us about your pet at any time.
