My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Unfortunately -- WE CANNOT ADOPT TO ANYONE IN MA DUE TO MA STATE LAWS.

NAME:  Max      Approx Birth Date: 08/01/2021

BREED:  Domestic Short Hair

Max is a cuddle bug, a lover and even gives hugs! His previous owner says he is an exceptional cat.  Unfortunately, he does not get along with the older male cat in the home. The decision was not made lightly, but in the best interest of the senior male cat in the home, he is looking for a new home.  He gets along great with the female cat in the home, and dogs! He has an old injury that left him with a funny lip and a head tilt.  It was surgically repaired when he was young, and just adds to his uniqueness and charm! Max is FIV + but is such a sweet boy and is healthy and strong, looking for the perfect home to share all his love! Don't let him having FIV deter you, and miss out on this awesome boy.  He is healthy, sweet, and can live with female cats.

More about this rescue

CLAWS is an incorporated 501(c)3 non-profit organization, operated 100% by volunteers with 30+ years of collective experience. We have a cooperative team of foster homes dedicated to rescue, fostering, healing, and spay/neutering cats and kittens, then adopting them into forever homes where they are cherished family members for the rest of their lives. We do not have a physical, single-location shelter facility.

CLAWS: Cats Lives Are Worth Saving is committed to investing our expertise and resources in order to further achieve our cause. Since 2018, we have been supporting our community in a variety of ways and measuring our success not by size, but by more qualitative measurements such as the scale and effectiveness of our efforts.

CLAWS if primarily based in central Arkansas, but we do adopt cats to residents of the northeast US, mostly to Rhode Island and Connecticut. Due to state licensing and health department regulations, we are unable at this time to adopt cats to residents of Massachusetts. The cats adopted to northeast homes are sent via established, registered, and fully licensed pet transport agencies.
