Tell everyone not to declaw and educate if they don't know why not to do that & tell them if your pet gets sick take them to the vet.
Adoption steps
- Interview
- Talk about who we have available and what animals they have in their home and see if we have a fit. Make apt to view the kitty.
- Meet the Pet
- Come meet the cat and if you want to adopt- we have a quick questionnaire to fill out. Must have a cat carrier to take the kitty home in.
- Pay Fee
- Pay the rescues adoption fee.We use the money we make from adoptions each week& goTNR 3+cats in need.So you get a cat&help one w/out a home.
Go meet their pets
I have 10 (fully vetted/vaccinated) of my own cats with an outside catio. Once a cat is fully vetted and combo tested negative , they can hang out with my cats until they get a home. I have a small room that's just for kittens and their moms. I turned my personal home into a (clean) cat rescue in Pittsburgh, PA.

Save Our Strays is helping to lower the cat population in Pgh. by pulling kittens /cats from the streets/unsafe situations & getting them healthy, vetted & into furever homes. I am only 1 person but, with the help of some fabulous volunteers we have already save 100s of cats from a harsh life of the relentless streets. Saving these babies gives me a great sense of purpose in life. Please consider donation to this non profit.
