Kalo was brought to the police office after a kind citizen found him wandering alone on the highway. The police informed our rescue mom that he had been abandoned. We can’t imagine how frightening and dangerous it must have been for him to survive in such a place.

Thankfully, our rescue mom saved him into her home and has been giving him excellent care. Kalo has completed all medical examinations and is fully neutered.

He currently lives with many cats and dogs in rescue mom's home, and he gets along wonderfully with all of them. Kalo has a very gentle, calm nature and is super friendly. He loves everyone he meets, enjoys social interaction, and thrives on companionship.

His rescue mom provides him with plenty of toys, and Kalo absolutely adores them. He can happily spend all day entertaining himself with his toys at home.

We are looking for a family that can provide Kalo with an appropriate living space and has experience with large dog breeds. A stable lifestyle, responsible care, and the commitment to offer him a true forever home are essential. Kalo is now healthy, safe, and ready to begin a new chapter in life with a loving family. He will be a wonderful companion to any home that welcomes him.

The meaning of adoption is not gaining a free and 100% perfect dog. Instead, the meaning is a poor and helpless stray animal gets a new life and sweet home because of you. Please open your heart and your sweet home. If you are interested in Kalo, or want to help him. Please contact us.

* We opened Kalo for adoption in Canada, You are welcome to fill out our online application *

We are looking for a family who understands the patience and responsibility required to raise a pet. It is important to us.

More about this rescue

Furry smiles International Rescue is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization in USA, and BC registry non-profit association in Canada.

We do not have a physical shelter location. We rely on our network with many fosters in the different area, who provide our dogs with love and care during transition from rescue, medical, foster to adoption.

Our International rescue dogs will be flying to Canada, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle, New York....or other city once the adoption is confirmed.

Furry Smile International Rescue ( FSIR) have been working hard to improve the welfare of dogs/cats since 2005 irrespective of their breed, medical condition or age.

All of our amazing volunteers donate their time because of their passion for helping dogs. We feel passionately that our role is not simply deal with the consequence of irresponsible ownership, but to also tackle the root causes and reduce the number of dogs needing to access the animal welfare system.

Our rescue ; we take care of them; we try to train them to be socialized; we find them a good home and we make sure dog/cat is living happily hereafter. We also believe in the therapeutic role that dogs can play in our local community. Our vision is a future where all pets are provided with a responsible and loving home for life.
