My name is Chloe, and I’m a 6-year-old (well, almost 7) sable and white Rough Collie. Everyone says I’m a pretty girl with the softest coat and the sweetest face. Even though I’m technically an adult, I still have the energy and enthusiasm of a playful 3-year-old. I love to run, explore, and would be happiest with a big fenced yard or a family who enjoys plenty of walks and adventures. I’m a friendly girl who gets along well with other dogs, except small dogs as I still like to rough house. I do not mind cats either. Sometimes I forget how big I am, but I just want to play and have fun. I walk nicely on a leash, though I might pull a little when I get excited. I listen well, understand “no,” and I’m house-trained. I really just need finishing and I know I will get there with the right family or human to call my own again. When I need to go out, I go to the door to let you know. I do like to peek at what’s on the counters—just in case there is something tasty for me—and I sometimes get a little jumpy when I’m happy. Because of that, I would probably do best with older children who will not mind my enthusiasm. I would love a home with another playful dog my size or an active person or family who will include me in their daily fun. Collie girl shenanigans are more fun that way!
I cannot wait to find my forever home, settle in, and become your loyal companion. Could that be you?

TRI STATE COLLIE RESCUE VOLUNTEERS have been professional breeders and dog show exhibitors, and we have more then 50 years of combined professional experience with the collie breed. In addition, our group includes devoted collie owners and lovers. We are listed as a recognized rescue group with the COLLIE CLUB OF AMERICA
OUR MISSION:
To end the indiscriminate breeding practices of irresponsible breeders, to educate the public about the lifetime responsibilities of caring for a pet, including the necessity of spaying and neutering, and to promote the return of undying love and devotion collies offer their owners. Too many purebred collies are found as strays, in dog shelters, or in the humane societies. We hope to eliminate the euthanasia of these collies.
