My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

1 year old | ~80 lbs | Big puppy energy, bigger heart

If you’re looking for a whole lotta dog wrapped up in joy, enthusiasm, and slobbery kisses—Elmer is your guy.

At just a year old and already tipping the scales at around 80 lbs, Elmer is a big bundle of puppy love who’s still very much growing into himself. He’s currently in training and is eager, food-motivated, and ready to learn, which makes him a blast for someone who enjoys working with their dog and watching progress happen in real time.

Elmer is:

🐶 Dog friendly

👧 Great with kids

🧠 Smart, motivated, and actively training

💛 Affectionate, happy, and full of life

Because of his size, energy, and breed traits, Elmer is looking for a home with someone who understands large-breed dogs and is ready to give him what he truly needs—structure, consistency, continued training, and outlets for both his body and brain. In return, you’ll get a loyal companion who’s all in on being your best friend.

Elmer isn’t just a dog—he’s a project in the best way. If you’re ready for a big, joyful, loving pup who will thrive with guidance and commitment, Elmer is ready to meet you.

More about this rescue

Mission

Our mission is to help all animals in need and educate pet owners about the realities of pet guardianship. We serve our community through the endorsement of spay or neuter for all companion animals, and promoting respect and responsibility for all animals on this earth to enhance the lives of pet owners and their companion animals.

Overview

Braveheart Bulliez Rescue is a 501(c)3 organization headed by Carolyn O’Brien and a network of experienced and dedicated animal rescue volunteers. We work with local shelters to:
-- identify animals in need of immediate rescue
-- provide vaccination and spaying/neutering (as necessary)
-- relocate the animals to caring foster homes for care for socialization and rehabilitation
-- seek qualified adopters to give these animals, new, loving homes!

Description

We are a 501(c)3 organization completely supported by donations that are used for paying for medical, food, and transportation costs. Braveheart Bulliez Rescue actively searches for permanent homes for its rescued animals and has a specialty for abuse and neglect. We also provide assistance to individuals as well as other animal rescue groups fostering animals in need of permanent new homes.
