I'm Sasuke (pronounced Sah-zoose-key - like the motorcycle!)
My favorite thing in the whole wide world is to be with my person. Second only to that is playing with my foster brother, Anderson (Andy for short). He had a tough start in life, and I’ve gotten to help him learn how to be a puppy. As for toys, nothing’s better than a stick off a backyard tree. I also have a few toys that my former family gave me and with which I still love to play – my squeaky, stuffed Gameboy is the best.
I get along great with other dogs. The neighbor dog has stayed with us a few times when his family has gone on trips. We get along really well! My foster mom is an 11-year-old border collie, who is also a MoKan rescue and who was great at helping me learn my way around my foster home, especially around dinner time. We thought I might have some food aggression issues, but my human has put each of our bowls in separate spots at mealtimes, and we’ve had no issues.
So far, I’ve gotten along with all the humans I’ve met. I haven’t had any interaction with young kids.
I understand basic commands like come, sit, give, and I am sure I can learn a lot more.
Regarding my forever home, I would love a place where I can hop up on the couch and bed and snuggle with my human. I am a terrific cuddler. I’m sure I would be happy in a home where I’m the only dog. I’d be equally happy if I have a brother or sister dog.
I’ve got lots of energy. Hey, I’m a border collie, but I’ve not expressed that energy in any negative way. In chewing on things, I keep to my toys…not furniture or clothing. Going on walks or to the park will be wonderful. Rest time is great, too.
Sasuke is being fostered in the Kansas City area.
