Meet Lucy a 6-pound Pit mix bourn around 9/16/25. She is a tiny-but-mighty pup with equal parts silly, sweet, and snuggly! This little girl is great with dogs, cats, and kids, and she loves having either a human or furry friend nearby—she’s not much of an independent player just yet.
Lucy is vocal about her feelings, especially when it comes to the crate. She’ll protest going in, but once she settles, she sleeps through the night. As a young puppy, she’s still learning her potty habits and basic manners, but she immediately goes when she gets outside, which is a great start!
This adorable noodle can fall asleep in any position, loves a cozy lap, and is a very good eater. She recently discovered the magic of heating vents and is utterly fascinated by them.
When it comes to toys, Lucy is all in—squeaky, crinkly, tug toys, stuffed toys bigger than her… she loves them all, especially if it means a fun game of tug or tackling something twice her size. Lucy would do best with an active family who has children or other furry pets for her to play with! Lucy may be small, but her personality is huge! Fill out an application to meet this spunky pup ASAP! She is sure to be adopted fast!

If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, the first thing to do is submit an application for approval. All dogs available for adoption are in foster homes. Please do not visit the rescue location as it is a privately run boarding, training & grooming facility. Individual meet and greets are scheduled by appointment only for approved adopters.

Due to recent events, we use discretion when adopting to a home with children under the age of 5 and to an adult under 23. This does not mean you are automatically disqualified, but we may require additional information.

The adoption fee for all animals listed depends on the breed/species, age, vet care, cost to pull from the kill shelter, worming medicine, flea medicine, vaccinations, micro chip, etc. The adoption fee BARELY covers all of the previous mentioned expenses. Please do not ask for us to lower the fee.

All adopters must fill out an application. Please note: Once you submit an adoption application, it could possibly take up to 10 days to process. Thank you for your patience. The dogs listed on this site are located at various foster homes throughout Ohio & some are located at a private boarding facility. Anyone wishing to visit one of our dogs or other animals must first complete an application and be an approved adopter before scheduling an appointment. Majority of scheduled appointments take place at a boarding facility in Grafton, Ohio

Please make a note that we do not transport our animals to you; you would need to come to Grafton Ohio to meet and possibly adopt.

More about this rescue

This site supports a small group of people who try to help as many animals that we can that have been displaced. All of the animals are checked by a vet, altered and updated on all vaccinations prior to going to a home.

We are all volunteers who do the best that we can with the limited funds and resources available to us. We give the potential adopter as much information as we can, including copies of all vet records but we normally do not know the history of the animals, as they are strays at the pound or taken by a humane officer from poor living conditions. Very rarely do we have owner releases. Most dogs in our program were minutes away from being put to sleep so the pound could make space for more strays.
