What is Rehome?
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Dolly is about 18 months old and was adopted from the Humane Society of Silicon Valley. She is a 55-pound mixed breed (about a quarter German Shepherd and a quarter Pit Bull). I have had her for almost a year but have to relocate for work and can no longer provide the time and space she needs.
She loves to run after her frisbee or any stick and is a great hiking companion. Dolly's a big cuddler and loves to lean into a belly rub whenever the opportunity arises.
She is nervous when meeting new people and dogs but warms up quickly. She does not have experience interacting with cats or kids.
Dolly would do best in a home that can continue her training (currently working with Petra K9 in San Jose) to help ease her anxiety around new settings. She has basic training including crate training and responds well to a structured schedule.
