Jackson came into the shelter as a stray, and despite everything he’s been through, he remains gentle, polite, and eager for attention. He is a Shepherd/Plott Hound–type mix, absolutely stunning in person, and has the sweetest, softest eyes.

• Wants nothing more than love and safety

The shelter is over capacity and Jackson has no time left. He is at risk simply because the shelter is out of space, not because of anything he did.

We are a small team of dedicated volunteers making a huge impact by saving hundreds of lives each year from high-kill shelters or those abandoned in the community. If the Pet you are inquiring on is no longer available, chances are we've got another one that will perfectly suit your family!

As a foster-based rescue, we don't have an actual facility however we will respond to inquiries within 12 to 24 hours in order to discuss the pet you are inquiring about, arrange a meet and greet when possible (or video meet and greet). Arcadia Animal Rescue is a foster-based rescue comprised of volunteers who are dedicated to saving the lives of animals that are at-risk either in shelters or in our communities, and placing them into safe and loving foster or adoptive homes.
As a 501c3 organization that receives no federal funding, we rely on the generosity of donors in order to provide life-saving veterinary care, spay and neuter, behavioral assessments and modification, emergency boarding, and transport to foster/adoptive homes.
