Meet Mojito! This sweet kitty’s babies have left the nest, and now she is looking for her new forever family. This lovely lady enjoys gentle interactions. She prefers to give you the full sniff down before petting her. She’s a little shy, so slow and calm introductions are in order. No worries, she doesn’t need any bribes (although she does appreciate her snacks)! Once you’re “approved”, Mojito will solicit attention, particularly appreciating scratches behind her ears, under her chin, and her back by the base of her tail. She gives out gentle head bumps and small purrs of approval when she’s really happy.
Mojito is a bit of a wallflower. She’s not really one to cuddle. She likes her independence. She enjoys her time up on the cat trees or window perches: happy to soak in the sunlight, listen to the birds, and watch the world go by her windows. She’s also daintily playful! She likes kitty scratchers and toys that she can bat at while watching the toys go around in circles. She’s now even starting to partake in playing with wand toys, especially if they have feathers!!
Mojito tolerates being held (once she is comfortable with you), and she’s easily handleable when needed. While she’s tolerant of children, she gets nervous with loud noises and quick movements. She may do best in a more quiet home with cat-savvy families. Mojito could be a solo cat, however, she is also good with other cats if you’re looking to add another to your family. While she did not like the obnoxious foster family’s dog in her face, she surprisingly tolerated the interaction fairly well. So if you have a calm, cat-savvy and cat-friendly dog, Mojito may be a good fit!
Mojito is estimated to be about two years old. She is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, flea treated, dewormed, and has tested negative for FIV/FeLV. If you’re interested in a pleasantly peaceful little lady to spend time with, then please apply for Mojito today!

Additional adoption info
We try to do our best to make sure we find good fitting, responsible homes, without wasting a lot of our time. Our app has a lot of screening questions which help eliminate potential adopters who might not be serious (they usually just don't return the app), or not a good fit, which is why the in depth interview happens once the app is returned.

We are a small but dedicated 501c3 nonprofit cat rescue specializing in making one person's garbage kitten another person's forever cat.
Our mission is to reduce feline suffering and overpopulation using a combination of TNR and adoptions. We foster and socialize whenever we have the resources to do so, including behavioral cats and kittens who might otherwise just be candidates for TNR.
