Oliver is a handsome 2-year old male Border Collie mix who was brought to the HSOV on November 13, 2025 by a Good Samaritan who found him on State Route 339 in the Vincent Ohio area. Oliver was not wearing a collar, and he was not microchipped.
Oliver has a black medium-haired coat with a large patch of white on his chest, black freckles on his white legs/paws, a long tail with a white tip on the end, and a sweet face with dark brown eyes, a splash of white on the right-hand side of his muzzle, and large floppy ears.
Oliver weighs 44 lbs.
Thanks to HSOV Volunteer Jennie Payton Sherrard for accompanying Oliver for outdoor photos on November 14th.
It was touching to see Oliver politely begging for bites of a donut (no icing) when he noticed two volunteers enjoying Tim Horton donuts in the lobby. Oliver 'sat pretty' and was rewarded with several bites of donuts before returning to his floor crate.
In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Oliver will be held for three days so that his family will have an opportunity to reclaim him with proof of ownership.
Since he was not reclaimed, Oliver went home with a foster family on December 7, 2025 who plans to adopt him after he is neutered.
