Meet Beauregard, your gentle work-in-progress with a heart of gold!
Beauregard's name means "beautiful gaze" or "fine admirer," and once you meet him, you'll understand why. This stunning ginger-and-white gentleman has soft, silky fur and a quiet, regal presence. When he feels safe, he'll look up at you with the sweetest, most soulful eyes—his own version of a "beautiful regard."
Beauregard is usually found curled up warm and cozy in his little igloo bed, and that's still his comfort zone. But give him a moment and a gentle touch, and this shy boy transforms. Once the pets start, Beauregard leans in, stretches his whole body, and begins making biscuits with all four paws—a rare, adorable sign of trust. He also lifts his chin for those perfect little scratches.
Because he is under-socialized, Beauregard needs a calm, quiet, child-free home with a patient, cat-experienced guardian who understands that progress takes time. A quiet environment is essential, and he will do best starting in a small, cozy space where he can feel protected while he builds confidence.
Beauregard has lived with cats before—some of his buddies are still here at OAS—and he would truly thrive being adopted with one of his feline friends or joining a home with a gentle resident cat who can show him the ropes.
If you're ready to help this tenderhearted boy blossom, he is ready to meet you!
