Gwinny is now safe in foster through Family Dog Rescue, along with her remaining puppy, Astra, after being rescued from an extremely unsafe situation near active train tracks.
She was found living in a makeshift shelter, caring for her puppies in loud, unsanitary conditions. Despite everything stacked against her, Gwinny proved to be an exceptional mother — calm, gentle, and deeply devoted to her babies. The trauma she experienced left her understandably shaken, but with intervention and care, her true spirit has reemerged.
Since her rescue, Gwinny has received full veterinary care, including vaccinations, treatment for an ear infection, spay surgery, and microchipping. Once cleaned up and given time to decompress, it became clear how much she enjoys human connection.
Gwinny is:
- Loyal and affectionate, especially with her people
- A happy walking companion who also knows how to relax and chill
- Emotionally steady, gentle, and grateful
- Thriving in foster and described simply as “amazing”
Her eyes are bright again, her confidence has returned, and she’s ready for the next chapter — a safe, loving home where she will never be left behind again.
