My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

--- Loving Border Collie mix needs a loving family and a fenced yard ---

Nelly is a balance of energy & calm. She loves to hike & loves playing with other dogs off leash. She is incredibly loving, sweet & affectionate; intelligent, loyal & curious. Nelly bonds deeply with her people & loves to be near them. She’s happiest when she can be part of the daily routine — following you around the house, walks/runs & exploring, curling up beside you. She’s a quick learner & very responsive to gentle guidance. At night, she sleeps well & loves to snuggle in the morning. Crate time works if it is the living space, not something small like the mudroom. Nelly walks nicely on a leash when there are not distractions. Obedience training would be helpful for when she gets excited when she sees other dogs, people, or wildlife. On leash, she is a little too excitable for other dogs. She loves playtime and mental stimulation. Nelly is a 14 month old rescue from a shelter in Mexico.
