What is Rehome?
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
We first adopted Sofie in Baltimore, MD when she was a puppy. We were attracted by her sweet nature (via jumping on our laps and giving licks to the face). We have another dog, cat, and a child in our home. Sofie does well with our cat, and for the most part does well with our other dog. However, recently there have been instances where the dogs have gotten into fights. With a new child in our home, we feel there is too much risk to allow these fights to continue, though we love both of our dogs dearly.
Sofie is incredibly loyal and a highly trainable dog. She loves to play tug a war and chase after frisbees. She would benefit from being the only dog in the home, with an owner who prioritizes her training/play. Sofie would be best in a home without young children. She is 6 years old and has so much love to give to the right home.
