Here's what the humans have to say about me:
✨ Meet Felix — the Distinguished Gentleman with Surprise Zoomies ✨
Age: 7–10 years
Medical: Controlled diabetic
Felix is a big, gentle, affectionate guy with a calm, loving presence. He’s quiet, well-mannered, and deeply loyal — the kind of dog who bonds hard with his people and just wants to be nearby. His soft eyes and steady demeanor win hearts instantly. 🤎
Found with his friend Minnie near I-40 outside Amarillo, Felix is now officially ready for his forever home.
Personality & Manners:
• House trained
• Crate trained (clean and patient)
• Walks beautifully on leash
• Rarely barks
• Knows basic commands and a trick or two
• Treat-motivated and eager to please
Felix is calm and respectful at home — until the zoomies hit, when he briefly turns into the happiest, goofiest guy around. 😂
Dog Social:
Felix prefers polite introductions and calm interactions. Update: He recently did well at a dog life park, remaining calm around barking dogs and multiple greetings. While he’s not seeking chaotic dog park life, he showed he can navigate social settings with confidence when given space and structure. He’d do best as the only dog or with a calm, submissive female.
Things to Know:
• Slight food/water protectiveness (manageable with routine)
• Controlled diabetic requiring lifelong insulin — doing great
• Confident and self-assured, not aggressive
Best Home:
• Adults or older kids
• Predictable routine and structure
• Someone who appreciates a mature, deeply loyal Aussie
Felix is a steady, loving companion who brings calm, loyalty, and the occasional burst of joy. If you’re looking for a dog who will choose you every day and love you wholeheartedly…
💛 Felix is ready to meet you. 💛
