Maya is a true head-turner with her soulful eyes and those delightfully quirky, asymmetrical ears that give her an extra dash of charm. But what really makes Maya shine is her joyful spirit—she greets every day with a big smile and tail wags! She is the sweetest girl who loves to go for adventures just as much as she loves nap.

This social butterfly loves everyone—dogs, cats, kids—you name it! She thrives on friendship and meeting new people.Maya enjoys playing with other dogs and does well with dogs of all ages and sizes. She has met cats and coexisted fine. Maya has met children and patiently waits for pets.

Maya is already house-trained and crate-trained, making her an easy fit for any household. She is a smart girl who has already mastered "sit" and would love a family to continue to teach her new tricks. She is extremely food motivated and eager to please, making her a star student. Maya's favorite thing is her leash, she absolutely loves going for hikes in the woods and walks around the neighborhood. She is making great progress with her leash skills.

If you're looking for an adventure buddy who also is a champion cuddle bug, Maya is your gal!

More about this rescue

Our mission at Last Hope K9 Rescue is to save every possible dog we can from being euthanized within high-volume kill shelters throughout the U.S.

As the literal “last hope” of nearly every animal we serve, we work tirelessly to place each one within a stable, loving environment that can act as either their forever home, or the gateway to their forever home. We also strive to ensure that all of our adoptions and foster placements are the optimal fit for everyone involved, including our dogs. This leads to our second goal: enriching human lives through canine companionship. To us, you can’t have one without the other.

Lastly, we promote animal welfare by lobbying important initiatives that both protect and give voice to the voiceless. By fostering an environment of collaboration with other organizations that share our goals, and working together instead of in competition, we find that we accomplish more.
