My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Seven is super sweet and loves to chase toys, her foster siblings, and even the resident cats.  She's ready for anything!  She'll race down hallways, up and down carpeted stairs, and into your arms for cuddles. She is obsessed with playing fetch and is up for playing with any cat.  Seven is the EASIEST kitty!  She is excellent at meeting new cats, so if you have cats already and are looking for an easy kitty to introduce to the gang, she's it!  Seven loves attention from people too - she joins her foster family for family movie night, she likes kids & adults, and enjoys sleeping cuddled up by your feet, purring away.

Seven's brothers were more affected by their feline cerebellar hypoplasia (CH) symptoms, hers are so mild they are barely noticeable, and only come to bear when she's jumping from the highest heights, which she WILL try to do. If a toy on the floor catches her attention, she's going to jump out of your arms for it!

She is completely independent enough to eat and drink by herself and can use a regular litter pan though higher sided ones (3 of the sides) typically are easier for CH kittens.

We hope though unlike her namesake in the story by Claribel Ortega, our final Witchling's task is not impossible, and that she finds the purrfect adopter to fall in love with her.

“Wobbly” kitten or feline cerebellar hypoplasia (CH) is a non-progressive, non-contagious neurological condition that results in walking and balance problems. It’s very important to remember the kittens aren’t sick, weak or hurt; they’re simply uncoordinated. Symptoms can be mild (sometimes barely noticeable like Seven). Kittens are born with it and while it never gets worse, it also never gets better though the kittens just learn to adapt. CH kittens typically don’t know they are different, and are some of the most determined incredible kitties you’ll ever meet.

You can see more pictures and videos of our fosters on our facebook page:  Sophia L'Orange Kitten Rescue

All of our adoptable animals are cared for and assessed in foster homes (we do not have a shelter), up to date on age appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed or neutered and tested for FeLV/FIV, before they are adopted. They have had de-worming medication as a standard of care and Flea/Tick/Ear Mite preventive treatment. Medical records will be released with the adopted pet.
