Meet Tina, Tony, Tammy & Timmy
This sweet little family came to us in a heartbreaking way, abandoned at our shelter’s front door in a crate when we were closed. Thankfully, they are now safe, loved, and settling in comfortably.

Tina, approximately 1½ years old, is a gentle young mama who has clearly put so much love into raising her babies. She’s affectionate, calm, and grateful for every bit of kindness she’s shown.

Her kittens, Tony, Tammy, and Timmy, about 11 weeks old, are playful, curious, and full of kitten energy! Each one has their own adorable personality, and all three are thriving now that they’re receiving proper care.

Everyone in this family has been spayed/neutered, brought up to date on vaccines, and given lots of TLC. They’re ready for the beginning they deserve, safe, happy, and loved in homes of their own.

If you’re looking to add a little joy (or a little family!) to your life, consider opening your heart to one of them. This brave quartet is more than ready for their fresh start.

Adoption Process

Our friendly, knowledgable team of staff and volunteers would be glad to give you a tour of the shelter and discuss whether one of our furry friends is the right match for your home.

The JSAC has careful policies on the placement of young animals, dominant breed dogs (Rottweilers, Shepherds, Akitas, etc). We have a lifelong return policy for all our pets. We prefer homes in the region so that we can be a resource for the animals and their adopters, however we will adopt out of state to approved adopters. These policies and procedures are in place to protect everyone involved and are very common when rehoming animals, whether through a shelter or a rescue group.

We do not have "same day" adoptions. Rather, an application for an animal is reviewed to ensure that 1) the home has taken good care of their other animals * 2) The animal is permitted in the home and 3) that it is the right home for the right animal (choosing dog that likes cats if cats already in household, etc..). Typically this process takes 24-48 hours. If a dog application is approved and there are other dogs in the home, we have the two (or more) dogs meet; many times if necessary.

Jersey Shore Animal Center is committed to the care of unwanted, abandoned, sick animals and to the adoption of these animals to responsible, loving homes. To that end, veterinary care is provided as needed, medication and inoculations are given and neutering/spaying is done prior to adoption unless the animal's health or age precludes this procedure.

In addition, a compassionate staff tends to providing for each animal's physical and emotional needs, taking care to keep each one sheltered, clean, well-fed and socialized.
