Meet Phantom — named after the iconic Phantom of the Opurra, thanks to his dramatic mostly-black face and the striking little white patch on one side of his muzzle. He and his brother, Raoul, were found outside with no mama in sight, and they’ve been learning the joys of safety, warmth, and love in RSR’s foster program ever since.
Phantom was a bit skittish when he first arrived, but it didn’t take much — a few snacks, some playtime, and gentle reassurance — for him to reveal his sweet, affectionate self. Now, he’s a total purr machine who wants to be your very best friend. He sleeps with his foster mom every night, follows her around with the cutest meow, and plays his little heart out. He’s charming, cuddly, and full of personality.
Phantom does best in a home with other friendly cats. Confident feline companions help him adjust and feel safe, especially as he navigates new places and people. While he and Raoul aren’t formally bonded, they comfort and support each other beautifully — and they’d settle in most easily if adopted together. At the very least, Phantom should not be an only cat.
These boys typically need about a week to decompress in a new environment. They’re sweet as can be but understandably nervous at first, so they need an adopter who’s patient and willing to let them take things at their own pace.
If you’re searching for a loving, loyal, and slightly dramatic little companion with a heart as big as his purr, Phantom may be your perfect match — especially if you have another friendly kitty waiting to welcome him home.
Phantom is from a stray surrender with his brother.

Want to adopt a kitten? We highly recommend you consider bringing home two instead of one! Adopting kittens in pairs has been proven to be beneficial for cats’ emotional and behavioral well-being and greatly improves the likelihood of long-term adopter happiness as a result. Adopting more than one kitten also reduces the risk of “Single Kitten Syndrome” (also known as Tarzan Syndrome), a symptom of under-socialization during a kitten’s most formative weeks. Kittens who are under-socialized may develop aggressive tendencies toward both other animals and humans as they grow, creating lifelong behavioral issues for owners.
