Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Rooney, a loving and friendly boy who's looking for his forever family! Rooney is an affectionate soul, always ready to shower you with love and playful fun. With his joyful spirit, he'll bring nothing but happiness and warmth to your home. Rooney is a true people-person, eager to form strong bonds and offer his unwavering loyalty. He may be all grown up, but that doesn't stop him from being a big goofball at heart, always up for a good time. Rooney is the perfect companion for anyone seeking a loyal and loving friend. Could you be the one to give Rooney the loving home he deserves?

More about this shelter
We are a self funded governmental agency catering to the many stray, abandoned, neglected and needy pets within Kankakee County. We are committed to educating the public on animal welfare & care including necessity of vaccinating, microchips and spay/neuter to reduce pet over-population.
Many of these animals come to us as strays or their owners refuse to care for them. We work very hard with very limited resources to provide these animals with all they need and to find them new, loving and permanent homes.
