Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi! I’m Poppy Seed, a sweet, playful kitten with the biggest paws—and the biggest heart—you’ll ever meet. I’m a polydactyl, so I have adorable mitten-like feet that help me hold toys, bat at wand sticks, and completely block the “cat TV” screen when I’m going after birds or fish. (I take my job very seriously!)
I can be a little shy at first, and sometimes I get startled and dash for cover. But don’t worry—I come out quickly once I realize everything is safe. If you sit on the floor with me, I’ll warm up right away, especially if you have toys. Wand toys, balls, tunnels, bags, boxes—you name it, I’m in!
I love being picked up, sitting on laps, getting brushed, and getting pets. I’m friendly with visitors, good with kids, and I get along great with other cats.
My favorite thing in the world is my sister Purr Patch. She washes my face (a lot) and we groom each other’s ears. We purr loudly when we cuddle together in the cat tree. We’re a bonded little team, and life feels best when she’s nearby.
If you’re looking for a gentle, goofy kitten with irresistible big mittens and a whole lot of love to give, I’m your guy. And if you’re ready to adopt a pair… Purr Patch and I would be the happiest duo you’ve ever met.

Our fees include a full medical exam by a veterinarian. This includes a Feline Leukemia and FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) test for cats, Rabies and Distemper Vaccines, deworming and Spay/Neuter. Dogs receive a Heartworm Check, Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper Vaccines, Canine Flu Vaccine, deworming, and Kennel Cough preventative. Our modest adoption fees do not cover the procedures and vet work that we provide the animals. We fundraise to make up the difference. Any ongoing medical needs that C.A.R.E. is aware of are explained fully, (including daily medicine costs), to the potential adopter, and become the responsibility of the adopter.
