I've had a lot of changes in my life lately, so I'm still finding my confidence. I do best with people who move slowly and give me time to trust - once I do, you'll see what a kind and sensitive soul I am. I'm not too interested in toys or play right now, but I absolutely love other dogs and really come out of my shell when I'm around them. Having a friendly canine companion in my future home would help me feel safe and supported as I continue to blossom. I'd be happiest in a calm, patient home without small children, where I can take things at my own pace. A foster or forever family who can give me time, stability, and lots of love will help me continue to grow into the brave, happy dog I'm meant to be. HSSC places animals on a first come, first serve basis. After an animal that is available for adoption has been met with, the animal’s name can be put on an application. Animals that are applied for must be adopted the same day or within 24 hours of the animal being placed on the adoption application. Exceptions will be made if any animal needs a medical procedure, but then will need to be adopted within 24 hours of being cleared from that procedure. HSSC reserves the right to accommodate alternate timelines for special needs/behavioral issue animals.
It is the potential adopter's responsibility to communicate with their landlord to contact HSSC for approval or to provide documentation stating permission within 24 hours of application submission.
It is also the potential adopter's responsibility to produce a current rabies certificate for their current dog(s) to conduct a dog to dog meet and greet within 24 hours of application submission.
