Hi I`m Wrangler! At about 40lbs, people say im a little pittie mix, but as far as I am concerned my breed is a hunk of burnin` love! I am a world-class cuddler and a loyal companion who will stick by your side through thick and thin. I`m happiest when I`m near my humans, soaking up affection or snuggling in for a cozy nap. Some of my friends at the shelter are looking for adventure humans, but not me, I am totally content with a walk around the block and nap on the couch.
I am nervous of new things which is why I absolutely love spending time with people and other dogs - in fact I`ve heard people here say that I light up like a holiday tree when I see other dogs! I am crate trained and I know some basic cues like sit, laydown and come when called and I am excelling in all of that! I need a patient adopter who will give me the chance to get used to the world around me. Once I know you’re my person, I will love you with everything I have, follow you from room to room, and curl up beside you every chance I get. I`ve already come so far - so I am ready for the next adventure! So what are you waiting for, have your people call my people and set up an appointment to come meet me!

Wrangler is currently up to date on all vaccinations, has been spayed/neutered, microchipped and seen by our vet team.

Situated 10 miles southwest of Boston on the beautiful grounds of the former summer sanctuary for the city’s working horses, ARL’s newly remodeled shelter in Dedham, Massachusetts is just a glimpse into ARL’s bold future. The new modern shelter design allows us to provide even more animals with high-quality direct animal care that meets best-practice standards in animal welfare.
The 27-acre property serves as ARL’s main livestock center and is home to Pine Ridge Pet Cemetery, the oldest continuously operated pet cemetery by a humane society in the United States.
