My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please contact Lauren (ldkeith1@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.

Meet Pinto, a resilient and enchanting black and white kitten whose journey is as inspiring as his playful spirit. Born with contracted tendons in his back legs, Pinto faced challenges from the start. He basically walked on his knees. With determination and a little help from his human friends, he now walks with confidence, embodying the triumph of spirit over adversity. Despite his early challenges, Pinto has never let anything hold him back. He's a whirlwind of energy, always ready for a game of chase or a playful pounce. He has such an expressive face and he is quite the cuddle bug when he is ready to slow down.

His journey has made him not only a survivor but also a symbol of hope and resilience.  Pinto is more than just a kitten; he's a testament to the power of perseverance and love. With his charming antics and loving nature, Pinto is sure to bring joy, inspiration, and endless cuddles to any home lucky enough to have him.

Some of our cats ready for adoption can be seen at the following Adoption Center locations:

PetSmart, located at 12835 Citrus Park Dr across from the Citrus Park Mall. Our volunteers are onsite for adoptions Saturday and Sunday from 12:00pm to 5:00pm and will be happy to assist you with finding the perfect feline companion. PetSmart management can assist with an adoption during other days/hours, time permitting. Cats are onsite 7 days a week.

PetSmart, located at 11331 Causeway Blvd in Brandon. Cats and adoption counselors are onsite for adoptions Saturday from 11:00am to 3:00pm and Sunday from 12:00pm to 2:30pm only.

Petco, located at 13127 N Dale Mabry Hwy. Cats and adoption counselors are onsite Saturdays from 11:00am to 4:00pm only.

We have many more cats than the ones housed at our Adoption Center locations. Our cats live with foster families until they are ready for adoption and space is available at an Adoption Center. If a cat is located in a foster home and the foster has provided contact information, you can get more details on a particular cat directly from them.

More about this rescue

St. Francis Society Animal Rescue is an all volunteer, non-profit 501-c-3 animal rescue organization dedicated to saving the lives of sick, injured, and stray domestic animals as well as spay/neuter and medical services for those animals. We seek to place animals in a loving foster or permanent home after recovery and we DO NOT euthanize unless terminal illness necessitates such a decision. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, tested for leukemia/FIV (cats), wormed and vaccinated before they are adopted.
