My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My foster writes: Sophie is a very calm, gentle, and adorable cat. She enjoys staying close to her family and will quietly follow us to the living room, dining room, working room, bedroom, and even the bathroom. She is also very sweet and patient with young children. Her litter box habits are excellent. Once we installed a baby gate at the kitchen entrance, she learned not to enter the kitchen.

What my friends at ACC say about me:

My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet!

Cheek and chin scratches make me so happy!

My purr motor is always running!

Sophie interacts with the assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is suitable for any level of adopter experience.

A volunteer writes: Sometimes Sophie puts her paws up on the door when people walk by. It's her most heartfelt request that they please remember her. Rolling over to show her belly for good measure, I recognize and celebrate her efforts but am at a loss as to why this sweet marshmallow of a cat has to work so hard to make a friend. All she wants to do is cuddle and will elaborately roll herself in a number of directions to prove it. She has the softest fur I've ever felt and cuddling with her is an absolute joy. Sophie was left behind after her guardian moved away and has been spending her days making new friends as she tries to convince everyone she's the cat for them. I'd like to help her out and ask if maybe she's the cat for you?
