Meet Dakota a 3.5 year old petite Cane Corso recently surrendered to the shelter due to her family moving. This sweet girl is friendly with all people. She is gentle with every new friend, and always ready for affection. She is formally trained and knows so many commands, she loves using her brain to make you proud! Dakota adores toys and playtime, is house trained and crate trained too! The shelter is looking for a home with children 12+ and no other pets. Please help Dakota find her forever home and come meet her today!.

The Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter boasts one of the highest adoption rates in the nation. Come tour the Animal Shelter, meet a dog or cat, and bring the love of a pet into your home. All adopted pets will be spayed or neutered, will receive required inoculations and will be microchipped. These are included in adoption fees.
