My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Emily is a 3yr-old 59lb tan and black German Shepherd that arrived at the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 11/17 as a stray. She puts her nose to good use investigating her surroundings. Her sense of smell is very important to her. She had to check everything out before she decided to pay me some attention. She did come from across the yard when I called her. She appeared to enjoy having her ears scratched. She would benefit from a slow introduction, giving her time to build up trust. She would most likely do best with a laid-back family. She’s very sweet, calm, gentle, well mannered, and cautiously friendly. She walks OK on a leash. Having a secured yard to play in, then back inside where she can dote on her family is what this sweet girl deserves.
