Meet Rocky, a super cute 3-4 year old neutered male dachshund mix! This little guy weighs about 14 lbs, but he packs a lot of personality into his small size!
Rocky is a happy, friendly boy who gets along well with other dogs, cats, people, and kids (older kids 8+ recommended, as he is an energetic little guy and may unintentionally knock over a small child).
From Rocky's current foster:
"Rocky is a happy, wiggly snugglebug who loves everyone he meets. He is fully potty trained and crate trained, and he settles nicely once he has had a little playtime. Rocky enjoys toys and playing with other dogs, and he has been respectful of cats in the home.
Because he is such a playful guy, he would likely do best with older kids who can match his energy. If you are looking for a fun buddy who doubles as a couch cuddler, Rocky is your guy!"
Apply to meet this good boy today!
**Rocky will not be available until our 12/14/25 adoption event at Petco in Dayville, CT. We are accepting applications on him now! We will prioritize applicants who are able to attend the 12/14 event. If Rocky is not adopted at the event, we will move on to other applicants.**

Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs. We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted. As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding!
