Meet Joyce!
Joyce is a beautiful teenage calico kitten whose sweet personality is every bit as lovely as her striking markings. With her expressive face and gorgeous colors, she’s the kind of kitty who turns heads — and wins hearts.

Joyce can be a little reserved at first, but once she gets to know you, she becomes wonderfully affectionate. She loves gentle pets, purrs up a storm, and is happiest curled up in your lap, enjoying your company. She’s friendly with other cats and kittens and loves having feline friends around.

You can often find Joyce perched on the cat tree, calmly watching the world go by. She thrives in a peaceful environment where she can feel safe and relaxed.

Joyce is ready to find her forever home — one that will appreciate her gentle nature and give her all the love she deserves.

The Adoption Counselors will review your application and if approved will contact you to pay an adoption hold fee to reserve the animal.

Meet the Pet

All adopters need an appointment to meet the pet due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Thank you for choosing adoption! We hope that you will find a pet that will become a long time member of your family! Currently we are open to visitors and adopters via appointments only. The Adoption Counselors can schedule a time to visit after reviewing your accepted application. Please visit our website to see the pets profile and apply for them electronically. All of our dogs and cats are spayed/neutered, have rabies and distemper shots (age appropriate), and are de-wormed and microchipped. he Humane Society of Charles County (HSCC) is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that relies completely on private donations and its own fundraising abilities to operate. We do not receive any federal, state or government funding or any funds from any national animal welfare organizations to operate.

The fees collected from the adoption of each animal help to offset some of the costs involved in providing care for the animals and preparing an animal for placement into a new home.
