My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Lola!

A spirited almost four-year-old American Pitbull Terrier/American Staffordshire Terrier/Boxer mix currently in Phoenix, AZ, whose expressive face and joyful antics turn every day into a laugh-filled adventure.

Wrapped in a sleek black coat with charming white accents, Lola is a medium-sized bundle of playfulness, weighing in at 55 pounds of pure personality! She's a plush-toy-loving, Kong-toting gal who delights in a good game of fetch, tug, or hide and seek. Around 2 p.m. every day, like clockwork, she’ll trot over and gently present her Kong, signaling it’s officially playtime, no calendar reminders needed!

Lola is the queen of dress-up, strutting around proudly in sweaters and costumes like she's walking a runway. She’s also a puzzle master, especially when peanut butter is involved, just the scent of it sends her into a happy, lip-smacking anticipation! While Lola prefers to be the only dog in the home, she absolutely adores humans and has a particular fondness for children. She would thrive in a home where she can be surrounded by doting adults or energetic kids and enjoy time in a fenced-in yard where she can run, sniff, and play safely.

This clever girl is house-trained, crate-trained, and leash-trained. She knows an impressive list of commands including sit, stay, lay down, come, paw, high five, dance, go find it, and more, and she actually enjoys practicing them! She’s quiet (rarely barks), easygoing, and settles beautifully once her happy tail is done wagging in excitement.

Lola has chronic allergies (like dust mites and sycamore trees), which are well-managed through allergy shots and care. She’s prone to ear infections, but with regular treatment and vet visits, which she handles like a total pro, her health stays steady. Her vet team adores her sweet temperament and calm exam behavior.

Ready to make someone’s couch her favorite napping spot, Lola brings joy, loyalty, and a whole lot of silliness to every room she enters. Could your family be the one to share her next chapter?

Reach out to meet Lola at adopt@joyfulpets.com, she’s ready to play, cuddle, and be your constant companion! Could she be your new best friend?

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Our ultimate goal is to unite as many animals with loving pet parents as possible, so we strive to make it easy to adopt a dog or cat you have fallen in love with. All we ask is that you fill out an adoption application so that we have all the information we need to determine that you'll be able to provide a safe and compassionate home to one of our rescued pets. Once approved, all you need to do is sign our adoption agreement form and provide an adoption donation so that we can continue to save more animals every day and unite them with families just like yours.
