Rosie is the sweetest girl. Don't let her age fool you, even though she is 8 she acts like she is 2! She would make for a great bird dog if a hunter would take some time to train her, she points at everything and has a high prey drive! She ended up at our adoption center to no fault of her own. Her previous owner said he didn't have time for her and has been keeping her outside in a kennel because he didn't want Rosie to knock over his elderly mother. Rosie does resource guard her favorite bones/toys but does not care when you take her food! After we ran some blood work on her we did find that she has pancreatitis. This just means she needs to be on a low-fat food to prevent her from getting fatty liver disease. Rosie is now spayed, up to date on vaccines and current on flea, tick and heartworm prevention. Rosie loves to play fetch and run in our exercise yard here at the adoption center.

Upon submission of your application a member of our PA Adoption Team will call and talk to you about your application.

Interview
Upon completion of the applicant interview, we will call the personal references as well as perform a vet check.

Home Check
We work with a wonderful group of volunteers located across the country and will do a home check.

Meet the Pet
Our Pennsylvania location is set up for formal meet and greets with the pets before a decision is made.
